For more than four decades, Andrew’s Refinishing has been restoring furniture and elevating standards across the Dallas - Fort Worth area.
Their story began in 1982 when John and Lorna Telfer founded Argyle’s Antiques, a retail shop specializing in antique furniture and collectibles. Named after the dame of the country from which John hails, the business reflected an early reverence for history, quality, and timeless design.
By 1985, recognizing a growing demand for expert restoration in Dallas, the Telfers pivoted and Andrew’s Refinishing was born.
This change shifted the focus from retail to the meticulous art of refinishing, repair, and preservation. Upholstery services were soon added, allowing the company to offer a complete restoration solution grounded in both beauty and function.
Their unwavering commitment to craftsmanship quickly attracted major commercial clients throughout Dallas, where durability, consistency, and precision are essential. Over time, their reach expanded into Fort Worth and surrounding communities, serving interior designers, commercial furniture clients, and homeowners alike.
In 2013, Simon Telfer stepped into leadership following his parents’ retirement. Building on the strong foundation they created, Simon has expanded Andrew’s Refinishing into one of the region’s leading refinishing and reupholstery firms, modernizing operations while preserving the integrity that defines the brand.
At the heart of that growth is a highly skilled team. Head refinisher Eric Buford brings remarkable precision and artistry to every project, ensuring the company’s standards remain uncompromised. Cheyenne Hubbard’s leadership has also been instrumental in expanding the business into larger-scale and commercial work, strengthening its regional presence.
